In Massage, what is...?
Swedish
Massage is the most requested massage service there is. This very popular modality involves long
flowing stokes on the body, which in turn relaxes the muscle tissue and assists with lymphatic function. Additional benefits of this therapy are increased blood circulation, mental and physical
relaxation, and of course, decreased stress in the body.
Hot Stone Massage is a great addition to your massage. Basalt stones are heated
in a water bath to about 125 degrees. Some stones are the size of your palm, others are smaller in size.
The therapist places the stones in their hands to massage the client. This therapy will assist with
your muscles relaxation, and it just feels wonderful.
Cranial Sacral
Therapy involves the
movement of the fluid surrounding the skull and spine. This gentle therapy (very light pressure is used)
can ease the restrictions of the nerve passages. It seeks to restore misaligned areas to a proper position.
CST is especially useful on migraine headaches, neck and back pain and more.
Contraindications in Massage. Please inform your therapist about any illness or injuries
you have prior to the session. There are certain health conditions which it is not appropriate for massage
therapy. A Physician referral may be required.
